Description
Stunning Venetian baby blue gold foil wedding cake beads, dating to the Art Deco period, to the early 1920s. The beads have a layer of gold on the outside, and then on top of that, lampworked decoration of swirled trails, roses and forget me knots. Plus latticino waved bands. The gold colour is very vivid and dramatic, and the decoration simply beautiful. These beads were made in Venice.
The necklace measures 20 1/2 inches, with the beads around 16mm in diameter. Newly rethreaded, the necklace has a ring fastener. There is some wear to the gold but no chips or cracks to the beads.
These are beautiful, antique beads, really luxurious and opulent. The combination of gold and flowers and latticino trails is very lovely. Don't miss them for your collection!
