Vintage United Airlines Advertising Lobby Posters 1930’s DC-3 Cargoliner Framed Glass Here is a nicely matted and framed under glass United Airlines Advertising Posters, these look to be factory advertising pieces from the circa 1930’s. The nicely framed art has a very charming design with the classic DC-3 Cargoliner airplane scenes surrounded by a pretty design showing 2 scenes and a drawing of the Wright Brothers at the bottom of each. The matting is accented with maroon lines and the wood frames have gray accents matching the company’s colors in the logos. I checked the tail numbers NC16089 at the Civil Aircraft Registry and they came back for a Douglas DC-3A-197, issued to United Airlines from 1930’s
The frame is approx 29 inches long by 14 ½ inches wide, some light wear, scratching and signs of use, has mount screws and wire stinger on back, the back covering is rough with some browning, chipping, tears and brittleness in paper covering, some mildew and water damage along bottom on the one on the right, some waterstaining and bleeding on the matting. Both are dirty and show some dampness and staining between the glass and artwork, have not tried to clean them. It will look great in your collection. Shipping weight is 12 pounds
